The Tokyo Girls Collection is a fashion festival that is held twice yearly. The festival is a huge event that began in 2005. For the fifth festival in September 2007 the event was held in the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama. The Tokyo Girls Collection is directly marketed to women in their late teens and twenties. Popular fashion modes walk the runway in real clothing that you can wear on the street, to a party or to the shops. This is clothing for the modern young lady that is completely wearable. Tokyo Gils Collection could be seen as fashionable street wear. Over twenty three thousand visitors enjoyed the six hour show. The festival event was broadcast live on cell phones and the internet. You could purchase the clothing that the models wore on the cat walk right there from the venue during the show.
